A quieter place to do this work

You've probably watched a credible and experienced practitioner or coach be defamed in a public thread, or seen a valuable conversation buried under an algorithm that rewards outrage. Most wellness conversations happen when anyone can screenshot them, and that can quickly steer your prospect's or client's opinion in the wrong direction.

The Circle is invitational on purpose; so that practitioners can ask real questions, clients can get straight answers, and brands can share innovations without a Big Tech feed deciding who sees them.

Our foundations & leadership

The Wellness Circle is a private, secure infrastructure built to protect open communication, peer collaboration, and commercial independence within the wellness sector. It exists because the work practitioners do — clinical, emotional, professional — keeps being pushed into public spaces that were never designed for it.

Welcome! I'm Jonathan Lee, based in Auckland. I've spent nearly two decades building digital discovery systems and enterprise software for thousands of natural health practitioners, which means I've spent a lot of that time listening to problems people can't say out loud anywhere public: the client they're unsure about, the rate they haven't raised since 2021, the complaint that kept them awake, the protocol that worked but can't be discussed openly without attracting a pile-on. Those conversations were happening one at a time, in my inbox. This is an attempt to bring them into one protected community instead.

The Circle operates as a Private Members Association. That's not just a label — it means we have a shared legal framework, a members agreement everyone accepts, and a clear boundary between what happens inside and what happens out in the open web. I'm supported by a small operations and moderation team who handle the day-to-day so the community stays useful and safe.

The Circle sits alongside The Wellness Directory and ClientWell— the three platforms are built specifically for the natural health B2B space. Together, they give practitioners a way to be found, run their practice, and talk to each other without leaning on big-tech platforms that scrape data, shuffle reach, or change the rules overnight.

By keeping professional networking off those platforms, we make sure clinical insights, brand innovations, and peer referrals stay in the hands of the practitioners who actually drive this industry forward.

What a private members association means

Everyone who comes in accepts the same members agreement first. That agreement is what makes this an association rather than a website with a login: there's a shared understanding about confidentiality, conduct and what this isn't.

Practically, it means nothing inside is indexed, nothing is public, and the directory of practitioners is only visible to members. No search engine and no scraping.

Who's in here

Practitioners — massage therapists, acupuncturists, naturopaths, herbalists, nutritionists, counsellors, integrative therapists, wellness coaches, osteopaths, kinesiologists, rongoā practitioners, doulas, breathwork and somatic therapists, energy workers, movement teachers. People with a caseload and the ordinary problems that come with it.

Clients and members of the public — you've read four conflicting articles, asked a friend who half-remembered something, and you still don't know whether what you're feeling is worth taking to someone. In here you can ask a practitioner directly, in your own words, without a comment section forming underneath the answer. Nobody will try to sell you a protocol. Nobody's watching you ask.

Brands — makers and suppliers, in their own private space, with promotions read by a person before they appear. No selling in community spaces.

Where this sits alongside your association

The Circle doesn't replace your professional body, your supervisor or your insurer, and it will never ask you to step outside your scope. It sits beside all of that.

The agreement everyone signs is public. You can read it now, send it to your registration body, or file it with your CPD records without asking us for anything. If your association wants to know what this is before you join, point them at that page. It's written to be read by people who read documents for a living, with a plain-English summary at the top for everyone else.

The questions we actually get asked

Will this create a problem with my registration body?
No. Your scope, registration and insurance obligations are exactly what they already are anywhere else you talk about your work online. We don't take any of that on for you, and we don't ask you to set any of it aside.
Does anyone check who's actually qualified in here?
We don't check anyone's credentials, and we don't pretend to. That's your call to make, before you book anyone or take their advice. It's clause 6 of the agreement, in writing, so nobody can claim otherwise later.
Can a client read me asking about burnout?
No. Practitioner-only community spaces are for practitioners only, and shared community spaces say so on the space itself. You can see the community space names before you join.
What's Liberty?
Liberty is the AI assistant inside the members area. It can explain how a community space works, help you draft a post, or point you to the right part of the agreement. It doesn't read clinical details and it doesn't replace a human peer or supervisor.
If a client discloses something concerning, what happens?
You do what you'd do in your practice: respond within your scope, and move it to a secure private channel off the platform if it becomes clinical. If someone is at risk, contact the appropriate service in their country. Tell us too, and we'll deal with anything that needs dealing with on our side. We don't hold clinical records and can't act as a clinical service.
Can I invite colleagues, or is this referral only?
Invite anyone you'd be happy to share a community space with. Nothing is referral-only; everyone signs the same agreement on the way in.

What it costs

Practitioners on the upper ClientWell plans — ClientWell being the practice software many members already run their bookings and notes through — already have the Circle included, so there's nothing more to pay. We check that automatically when you join.

Everyone else joins for NZ$33 a month, or NZ$330 a year if you want two months free. Brands pay NZ$55 a month, or NZ$550 a year. Leave whenever you like, from your own account page.

We're not going to tell you the community spaces are buzzing, because they're not yet, and you'd find out in about nine seconds.

What it isn't

It isn't clinical supervision. It isn't medical advice, and it isn't a referral scheme. We don't check anyone's credentials and we don't pretend to. Read the members agreement before you join and you'll know exactly where the lines are.

Ready to come in?

Create an account, read the agreement, and you're in. About three minutes, most of it reading.
